We offer highly competitive prices for website design/creation and initial content
migration.
Websites we design are tested to work properly on the varied, newest and older technologies
of computer operating systems and varying web browsers in common use, to deliver
exactly the look you want and functioning perfectly in all instances.
Creating the desired look is the easy part of creating a website. Site functioning
is the most important part of website design. Most viewers will not wait around
if your site, or parts of it, take too long to load, fail to display properly, or
the links don't work properly.
BASIC PACKAGES
Our package pricing is based on the size of the website and the complexity of coding
needed to create and test the type of website desired. Pricing does not include
applicable sales tax and is subject to change without notice.
Fixed Screen Size up to 5 Pages, Non-Editable: $500.00 ~ This type of website
would come in a fixed screen size, with 1024 being the standard in common use today,
and does not include a data base. It is well suited to small businesses and not-for-profit
service clubs and organizations who need a web presence but basically static website.
We will make your site look and function the way you want and the price includes
uploading of all the initial content (including pictures). You must provide the
content. If we have to create the content, there will be additional charges for
content creation. It is not self-editable and any changes have to be made by us.
Maintenance fees for these changes are $25/hour with a minimum one hour charge.
Fixed Screen Size up to 50 Pages, Self-Editable: $1,000.00 ~ Again, this type
of website comes in a fixed screen size, and necessarily incorporates a data base
into your website. The big difference with this one is that you will be able to
go in and change and/or add content and pictures yourself. You must provide the
initial content for initial content migration. If we have to create the content,
there will be additional charges for content creation. This type of website requires
considerably more coding to create and you will have to be trained on how to change
the content. That training is included in the price. Unless you are already skilled
at editing and sizing pictures, have the software to do so, and are reasonably computer
savvy for training in html coding, a self-editing site is not recommended.
You can choose to do a mix of self-editing of content and some content editing
by us at our standard maintenance fee of $25/hour with a minimum one hour charge.
Proportional Viewing up to 5 Pages, Non-Editable: $1,500.00 ~ This type of
website is the equivalent of high definition television viewing. It allows your
website to be viewed in nine different screen sizes with no loss of resolution,
no stretching or compression of content (including pictures), and no distortion
of layout. With a simple click, users can easily view your website, exactly
as you intended it to be seen, on the screen size of their choice without having
to change their monitor display settings. It allows users to take full advantage
of their larger computer monitors, and necessarily incorporates a data base into
your website. We will make your site look and function the way you want and the
price includes uploading of all the initial content and pictures. You must provide
the content. If we have to create the content, there will be additional charges
for content creation. It is not self-editable and any changes have to be made by
us. Maintenance fees for these changes are $25/hour with a minimum one hour charge.
Proportional Viewing with Unlimited Pages, Self-Editable: $2,500.00 ~ You
can grow this type of website as big as you like, adding pages, tabs and content.
It is also modular, allowing you to change the look by moving modules around and
to different locations. You can turn modules and content on and off as needed/desired.
With all the features of the above proportional viewing type of website, this type
includes a data base and internal, hard-coded "brains" which allow for the seamless
functioning of all its features. You must provide the initial content for initial
content migration. If we have to create the content, there will be additional charges
for content creation. This type of website requires considerably more coding to
create and you will have to be trained on how to change the content. That training
is included in the price. Unless you are already skilled at editing and sizing pictures,
have the software to do so, and are reasonably computer savvy for training in html
coding, a self-editing site is not recommended. You can choose to
do a mix of self-editing of content and some content editing by us at our standard
maintenance fee of $25/hour with a minimum one hour charge.
Flash Units: In all cases, the addition of flash units to a website carries
an additional cost. The price for flash units depends on the type (text, pictures,
or text and pictures) and complexity of the flash unit to be created, as well as
the type of website for which it is being created. Obviously, flash units for proportional
sites are considerably more complex than those for non-proportional sites. On average,
flash units range in price from $35.00 to $500.00 each.
Animation: Animation is a complex, time-consuming process requiring specialized
skills and software. Animation prices are dependent upon the complexity of the animation
and are quoted only after discussions with the client have enabled an accurate assessment
of the required complexity. Logo animation typically costs $500.00.
NOTE: Website creation does not include domain name registration, web hosting,
or security certificates.
Domains and Web Hosting: We also offer domain name registration and extremely
reliable web hosting packages designed to fit your website's needs and support the
programming of the websites we create. We do not recommend signing up for a web
hosting package before talking to us about your website creation, because
many of the free or ultra cheap web hosting packages out there are either unreliable
in terms of performance, or cannot support the necessary programming to make them
work properly, or can be very limited in bandwidth which limits user access.
Our Web Hosting Packages
Security Certificates: If you are going to require secure login or payment
processing on your website, you will require a secure socket layer and a security
certificate adequate to your needs. This security option carries an additional cost
to the prices listed above and that cost depends on your security needs.
E-Commerce: An E-commerce section for your website, which allows you to sell
goods and services on-line and process credit card payments, requires a security
certificate adequate to your needs. Costs to add an E-commerce section depend on
the complexity and size, and are in addition to the website creation prices listed
above, and in addition to the cost of the required security certificate.
What You Need to Know: When considering a website you need to decide first
what kind of website best suits your needs, what you want that website to do for
you, at least a general idea of what you want it to look like, what colour scheme
you want, what impression you want it to leave on people who access it, and how
you want it to function. If considering a self-editing site, you need to first determine
if you have the skills and time to manage a self-editing site, or if you have someone
available in your business/organization to do it. Self-editing sites require skills
and a regular investment of time (usually more time than you might think) to maintain
the site and, if necessary, learn the necessary skills.
How Fast Can a Website be Made? How fast your website can be made depends
primarily on you ! If you have a clear idea from the outset of what you want
and your colour scheme, and you provide all the initial content at the beginning
of the process, even a self-editing proportional site (the most complex) can be
on-line and functioning in as little as 8 days! However, if you are unsure of what
you want, frequently change your mind as the site is being developed, or are slow
in providing the initial content to be migrated, even a non-editable fixed screen
size site can take much longer.
Deposits: Regardless of who the client is, a 50% up front deposit is required for the creation of a website. The balance is due and payable when the website goes live. 2% per month late payment charges will apply, calculated from the due date.
